The collection is based around the ERSATZ series of artworks created by LEON EMANUEL BLANCK in 2019 about the artificiality of our lives. Glass coated down coats with colourways reminiscent of leaking oil and multilayered silks give an idea of blurry views of open eyes underwater. Hand painted wild python and alligator jackets stand against transparent polyurethane parkas playing with the idea of natural versus synthetic. Latex coated baby camel wools, waxed corduroy blazers and distressed horse and llama skins emphasize the idea of perished animals through contamination.
